All The Info

Dress codes have been used for years to dictate what is deemed appropriate for a particular environment. More specifically, school dress codes in private schools and public schools with uniform policies have been formulated to limit students’ appearances and clothing that they wear to school. Recently, cases of students being discriminated based on their appearance and race respectively have raised questions against the dress codes. This has sparked the debate on how far school systems should go in limiting what students are allowed to wear to school. Some people believe that school dress codes are set up specifically to eliminate cultural differences between students. They argue that punishing students for embracing their cultural backgrounds, particularly dealing with hair, can lead to more educational disparities than the dress code intended. However, cases like these often go unnoticed and are never talked about

The purpose of this blog is to bring light to these cases and spark changes that need to happen.
